  • Michelle & Dan – Peppers Creek – Pokolbin Hunter Valley
Michelle & Dan were recently married at the beautiful Peppers Creek at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. It was a fantastic wedding day with a great group of people that had an absolute ball and it was an real pleasure to capture all the fun! Peppers Creek is a stunning wedding venue and the Chapel a truly beautiful place for a ceremony. The evening was awesome with great food, lots of laughs & a roaring fire. Congrats guys! • Sandra & Andrew – St Mary’s Orthodox Church – Doltone House Pyrmont
Sandra & Andrew were recently married and had a beautiful wedding day. Andrew and his brothers had a good laugh getting ready and there were a lot of big smiles, tears and hugs at Sandra’s house. I love the reaction of her Dad when seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time – such a beautiful moment to capture. The ceremony was at St Mary’s Orthodox Church in Mays Hill. It all went well and we headed into Sydney city for photos at Observatory Hill & around the Rocks…..we got some beautiful photos before the rain arrived. The reception was at Doltone House in Pyrmont. The room looked amazing and the cake topper figures were fantastic. It was a great night, congrats guys! • Mary & Ryan – Bradley’s Head – Taronga Centre wedding
Mary & Ryan were married in early June and were blessed with beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony at Bradley’s Head. It’s a stunning location and after the ceremony we made the most of the views with some beautiful bridal party photos. The late afternoon light was awesome and we even had time to visit the giraffes at Taronga Zoo and monkey around as well. The Taronga Centre is a fantastic reception venue with views over the city that can’t be beaten. It was a great evening and the lolly bar was the best I’ve seen! Congrats guys. • Alana & Michael – St Peter Chanel – Le Montage
Alana & Michael’s wedding was a beautiful day in late May. Everyone was getting ready in the city and Michael looked very sharp is a blue suit and Alana’s dress was stunning. From being at Katie’s wedding a year earlier I knew the Hill girls can seriously bling up their shoes and I was not disappointed! The ceremony was held at St Peter Chanel in Hunters Hill, one of my favourite churches. You could hear the bridal car arrive well before you could see it and this classic red GT was awesome. The ceremony went very well with Father Lex in charge and afterwards we quickly took some family photos before catching the very last light at Clarke’s Point Reserve. The reception was Le Montage and the room looked amazing and the service is second to none as they really go all out for you at this venue. • Carly & Torstein – the Viking & the Convict
Carly & Torstein (aka the Viking & the Convict) were married overseas in Torsrtein’s home country of Norway but they held a beautiful wedding party in Dural for their Australian family & friends. Driving to the house I really didn’t know what to expect…… but what I definitely didn’t expect was: vikings, convicts, a truly stunning vintage styled set up in a marquee, wheelbarrow race photos, how high the flowers were thrown, a world war two army jeep, old doors at the marquee entrance, a beautiful property with loads of great photo locations, Matt Inkster doing video, a beautifully impromptu first dance, and loads and loads of fun and smiles all day 🙂 Visit my facebook page McKay Photography Facebook here or my main website McKay Wedding Photography Sydney here. It was awesome to work with Matt from Inkster Productions, check out his facebook site here: http://www.facebook.com/Inkster.Productions by Darryn McKay at February 2, 2018.
  • SJ & Adam – George’s Heights & Gunners Barracks wedding
SJ & Adam’s beautiful wedding at the Gunners Barracks! Ceremony was held at Georges Heights.
  • Megan & Shaun – Bradley’s Head – Athol Hall wedding
Megan & Shaun’s wedding at Athol Hall was an epic day! A big feature of their wedding was the Bermudian theme where Megan is from – it included cool sun glasses and rum swizzle drinks. By the way any country that has shorts as their national dress must be awesome – it sure beats wearing a suit and long pants in the Australian summer. The day went so well from the preparations right through to the crazy dancing and photo booth antics. The ceremony was held at Bradley’s Head – one of the best locations in Sydney with stunning harbour views. The reception was at Athol Hall – a great venue and rather than being in the hall everything was set up in a huge marquee on the lawn. It looked amazing, especially at night with the city lights. Thanks to Ian from DnM Wedding Films for being fantastic to work with again. Flowers were by White House Flowers in Manly. • Fenella & James – St Mark’s Darling Point – McKell Park – Sergeant’s Mess wedding
Fenella & James had an awesome wedding day full of smiles and lots of laughs! It was an early start at Fenella’s preparations as the ceremony at St Mark’s Darling Point was at 9.30am. Fenella and the girls looked stunning and at the church James and the boys were looking pretty sharp too. Fenella arrived at St Mark’s in a very cool old Jag and you could tell she was super excited about getting married. Actually the smiles and excitement didnt stop for the whole day which was awesome to see. We did some location photos at McKell Park before heading to the Sergeant’s Mess for the reception. It was a cracker day and the Harbour looked amazing from the balcony. It’s a great wedding venue and everything went very smoothly. It was great to shoot with Jamie from Soda Films. • Carlie & Paul – Clarkes Point Reserve – Deckhouse wedding
Carlie and Paul had a beautiful wedding day! Carlie got ready at the Sebel Pier One and looked amazing in her dress. I met Paul and the boys at Clarke’s Point Reserve and the set up overlooking the Harbour was magic. Carlie arrived and the ceremony all went well…. but we had to hurry afterwards with some very dark clouds gathering and it didnt take long for a huge storm front to arrive. We headed inside and waited for the worst of the rain to pass and thankfully still had time after for some more shots around the Deckhouse afterwards. The Deckhouse at Woolwich is a fantastic wedding venue and one of my favourites. The venue itself is beautiful and I’ve always found the food and service to be outstanding.
