Sandra & Andrew – St Mary’s Orthodox Church – Doltone House Pyrmont

Sandra & Andrew were recently married and had a beautiful wedding day. Andrew and his brothers had a good laugh getting ready and there were a lot of big smiles, tears and hugs at Sandra’s house. I love the reaction of her Dad when seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time – such a beautiful moment to capture. The ceremony was at St Mary’s Orthodox Church in Mays Hill. It all went well and we headed into Sydney city for photos at Observatory Hill & around the Rocks…..we got some beautiful photos before the rain arrived. The reception was at Doltone House in Pyrmont. The room looked amazing and the cake topper figures were fantastic. It was a great night, congrats guys! Read more…

Anita & Calvin – The Crypt at St Mary’s Cathedral – Doltone House Pyrmont

Anita & Calvin had an awesome Sydney summer day for their wedding – the sky was brilliant blue and everything went perfectly from the preparations right through to an amazing reception. The ceremony was held at the Crypt at St Mary’s Cathedral and we did location photos at St Mary’s, Hyde Park and the Opera House before making our way to Doltone House Pyrmont at Jones Bay Wharf. An amazing day! Friends and family can log-in to Anita & Calvin’s gallery by clicking here. Please visit my facebook page here or my McKay Wedding Photography Sydney.

Margaret & Ben – St George Cathedral Church Redfern – Doltone House Pyrmont

I started the day at Margaret’s parents house and they had an awesome sitting room for some great shots of Margaret and her lovely Collete Dinnigan dress. The ceremony was held at St George Cathedral Church – a beautiful orthodox church in Redfern – and the colours and details inside look fantastic in the photos. I love the expression on Ben’s face after Margaret made her entrance. We headed to Hyde Park for some location photos and also did some just outside the reception venue Doltone House in Pyrmont. We got some great photos with a very relaxed & funny bridal party, the wharf area at Pyrmont is a good spot and it’s perfect that you dont need to travel to reach it. The night Read more…

Rachel & Michael – St Antonys Church – Doltone House Sylvannia Waters

Rachel & Michael had a beautiful autumn day for their wedding. I started at Rachel’s house for preparation photos with all the family before heading to St Antony’s Catholic Church in Toongabie. The very cool wedding cars were a big stand out – the crazy suspension on these classic cars is amazing! The ceremony went well and afterwards we headed in convoy to Hyde Park for photos with the bridal party and after that some awesome night shots down by the Harbour Bridge. It was then on to the reception at Doltone House Slyvannia Waters. It’s a great venue and right from the start the drums and the dancing made it a fun night. Congrats guys!

Nicola & John – Westin Hotel – The Loft Doltone House

Nicola & John had a fantastic day with friends and family from overseas being treated to an outdoor wedding at Doltone House in Pyrmont. I have been to a number of wedding receptions here but this was my first afternoon ceremony. It looked fantastic outside with the cityscape & buildings behind….although the gaps in the wooden deck did provide the best man with some nervous moments when handing over the rings!! I started the day with Nicola at the Westin Hotel. A side story to the day was that Nicola is probably the bravest bride I have ever met – she was ‘attacked’ by her dress (it fell off the hanger when moving it) the night before the wedding and it ripped her fingernail clean Read more…
