Alena & Pierre – Georges Heights – Gunner’s Barracks

Alena & Pierre’s story is like something out of a romance novel: they met & fell in love in Paris while Alena was working at her father’s cafe! In many ways their wedding at the Gunners Barracks completed the fairy tale with a beautiful memorable day.

After preparation photos at a stunning Bayview house I headed to the Gunners Barracks. The ceremony was held up at Georges Heights and the views from here over Sydney Harbour are amazing. The ceremony was filled with laughter and spoken in both English and French.

We took photos around Georges Heights and the Barracks before the reception. The Barracks always looks amazing but I loved the very personal (often French) elements that Alena & Pierre included in the room such as chalk board menus, cooking herbs (they own a restaurant in Paris), French wine (of course), and even some huge bellows at the front door.

Needless to say the photos from the day were fantastic. Congratulations guys!

Amanda & Ben – Marie Regina Church Avalon – Moby’s Whale Beach

A great location for the preparations can really add to the photos and I loved the house where Amanda was getting ready – it had a very cool beach style that suited the wedding day really well.

The ceremony was at the Marie Regina Church in Avalon and I took a few shots of Ben and the cool cars before Amanda pulled up in a combi van! The ceremony had plenty of laughs and the bubbles outside the church were a big hit.

After the ceremony we headed to the Palm Beach Ferry Wharf for our first location shoot, and then to another wharf nearby before arriving at Whale Beach. The late afternoon light was fantastic and we got some awesome photos on the rocks!

The reception was at Moby’s – a great venue right on Whale Beach – and the personalised stubby holders and the wedding cake were fantastic. A great day – life is indeed good at the beach. Congrats guys!

Pascale & Brett – Ceretti Chapel St Patrick’s Manly – Long Reef Golf Club

Pascale & Brett’s wedding was an awesome wedding that definitely packed a lot into one day! I started with both Brett & Pascale’s preparation photos and got some great shots of all the fun they were having simply getting ready.

The ceremony was at the beautiful Cerretti Chapel at St Patrick’s in Manly – a stunning location both inside the chapel and outside with impressive buildings and views over Manly. The ceremony went very well – I loved the look on Brett’s face as Pascale walked in and the big hug outside the chapel once they were married.

After photos on site at St Patrick’s we headed to the rock pool at Fairy Bower, and then took a water taxi from Manly Wharf to Bradley’s Head – it’s a great spot with views towards the city. Back to Manly via water taxi and then it was off to Long Reef Golf Club for the reception and we had just enough time for shots on Long Reef Beach before the evening kicked off.

The room looked amazing with some very personal touches such as some childhood photos of Pascale & Brett hanging in the entrance area. The night was full of great speeches and surprises – Pascale sung a song for Brett and he returned the surprise with a song of his own, and Pascale’s brother even wrote and sung a song too! All in all it was a great day so congrats guys!
