I started Sophie & Richard’s wedding day with preparation photos at Sophie’s parent’s house in Wollenstonecraft. It was then off to Killara ‘Fiveways’ Uniting Church for photos with Richard and the guys before the ceremony started. Killara Uniting is a lovely old stone church situated on a rather unique five-way intersection.
After the ceremony and family photos we headed to Lavender Bay for some location shots. It was then a short walk around to Luna Park where the reception was being held in the Crystal Palace Ballroom. A real bonus of having your reception at Luna Park is you are able to take photos inside the fun park itself and we got some hilarious shots with wild driving on the dodge-em cars, all the girls pretending to be clowns, and a lot of colour and movement on the merry-go-round. It was a really fun way to finish off this part of the day and the bridal party had a ball!
The reception itself was quite spectacular with beautiful table settings in the spacious Crystal Palace Ballroom and it featured a cake that Sophie designed herself! The speeches went very well (I loved Sophie’s Dad talk about the ‘fan clubs’) and then Peppermint Jam got everyone up and dancing. It was a great day, congratulations Sophie & Richard!
