Weddings - Jennifer & Matthew - Athol Hall

Jennifer & Matthew had their ceremony & reception at one of my favourite venues – Athol Hall. It has a huge lawn, is away from the road and private but also very close to the city, and there are plenty of great photo locations within a short walk (or drive). And did I mention it’s right on the Harbour?! Just a great location for a wedding.

Jennifer & Matthew were referred to me by their friends who I photographed about year ago – it was great to see some familiar faces at the wedding! The day was very overcast but this can make for great photos with minimal shadows and squinting. The ceremony was lovely and we took location shots down on the beach before heading back to the reception.

Athol Hall itself looked fantastic thanks to Jennifer’s friend who decorated the hall with a “sweet” theme, and outside on the lawn they had croquet and bolle.
