  • Caitlin & Adrian – St Benedict’s Glebe – Orso
Caitlin & Adrian are such a lovely couple and their wedding day was awesome! The boys and girls preparations were a lot of fun – I loved the ring box Adrian’s parents made for them such a lovely idea. The ceremony featured lots of family from the page boys and flower girls right through to Father Jim. It was held at St Benedict’s Church in Glebe and afterwards we did some photos right on the church grounds that had beautiful ivy everywhere. We headed to Freshwater Headland for some more photos and after a shower of rain got some great shots on the rocks and the pool there. Then onto Orso at the Spit for the reception. It’s a great venue that looks even better after a recent refurbishment. The light, open room and views of the boats and harbour are really beautiful. Make up for the day was by Kerry at Complete Professional Bridal Beauty – she did an awesome job and was right on time 🙂 Congrats guys! • Megan & Brad – Observatory Hill – The Mint
Megan & Brad were married on a brilliant sunny day up at Observatory Hill. It was a stunning location for the ceremony and afterwards it was great to see everyone relax with a few drinks under the big fig trees in the shade. We did photos around Observatory Hill and walked down into the Rocks, Martin Place and around the Mint itself. The Mint is a great venue and well worth a visit to see the history on display. The food was awesome with mini burgers being a crowd favourite. The night was fantastic with some great speeches and plenty of dancing. by Darryn McKay at February 2, 2018.
  • Nicoli & Chris – Centennial Vineyards Bowral
Nicoli & Chris had their winter wedding in Bowral at one of my favourite venues Centennial Vineyards.  Nicoli and the girls got ready at Hatpins – a beautiful B&B in Bowral – and the make up was done by Yvette from Ethix. Centennial Vineyards always looks amazing but the main room was really stunning with flowers and styling by Michelle / Affair with George. The ceremony was inside due to wet weather and having Nicoli’s uncle as the celebrant made it fun and personal. We got a tad wet doing bridal party photos outside but used the Cellar Door undercover area for a while before braving the rows of vines. The photos looked amazing and I love the gumboots and umbrella photos! Back inside the reception was a wonderful night with great food, excellent speeches and some fun dancing. Congrats guy! • Kim & Jarrod – Gibraltar Hotel wedding
Kim & Jarrod were married at one of our favourite local venues – Gibraltar Hotel. It’s an awesome location with great accommodation, plenty of spots for a ceremony (including the indoor gallery room for wet weather) and beautiful photo locations around the golf course. Kim & Jarrod both got ready at the hotel and the ceremony was held on the golf course. It was a beautiful spring day so just picture perfect. We did photos around the golf course and had a fun time driving from each location on the golf carts. The reception was a lot of fun with some great speeches and plenty of dancing. Congrats guys! • Hayley & Theo – St Andrew’s Orthodox Church Redfern – Dedes on the Wharf
Hayley & Theo were married in July this year and contrary to what you’d expect the weather was awesome so it shows a winter wedding can be just perfect! The guys got ready in Coogee and we got some great shots of the boys getting their suits on and then some cool group shots on the rock cliffs nearby. Hayley is a dress desginer and her wedding dress was stunning! She also made the bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses which were just beautiful. The ceremony was at St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Redfern. It’s a beautiful church with a tall tower at the front and rich colours inside. The ceremony was lovely and as Hayley & Theo exited the church they were pelted by rice and confetti, loved it! We did bridal party photos at Observatory Hill and the Rocks area, and being winter with an early sunset we got some beautiful photos with the Opera House & Harbour Bridge before arriving at Dedes on the Wharf. This is a great venue that I had been to before as Ottoman’s and now the Dedes group has taken it on. The tables and room set up were amazing with loads of flowers and a custom made “H&T” light sign above the main table. The view over Walsh Bay towards the Harbour Bridge is awesome and the food was fantastic. The night was so much fun with lots of crazy dancing. An awesome wedding day, well done guys 🙂 Visit my facebook page Facebook here, Google+ here or my main website McKay Wedding Photography Sydney here. by Darryn McKay at November 1, 2018.

Michelle & Dan were recently married at the beautiful Peppers Creek at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. It was a fantastic wedding day with a great group of people that had an absolute ball and it was an real pleasure to capture all the fun! Peppers Creek is a stunning wedding venue and the Chapel a truly beautiful place for a ceremony. The evening was awesome with great food, lots of laughs & a roaring fire. Congrats guys! • Sandra & Andrew – St Mary’s Orthodox Church – Doltone House Pyrmont
Sandra & Andrew were recently married and had a beautiful wedding day. Andrew and his brothers had a good laugh getting ready and there were a lot of big smiles, tears and hugs at Sandra’s house. I love the reaction of her Dad when seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time – such a beautiful moment to capture. The ceremony was at St Mary’s Orthodox Church in Mays Hill. It all went well and we headed into Sydney city for photos at Observatory Hill & around the Rocks…..we got some beautiful photos before the rain arrived. The reception was at Doltone House in Pyrmont. The room looked amazing and the cake topper figures were fantastic. It was a great night, congrats guys! • Mary & Ryan – Bradley’s Head – Taronga Centre wedding
Mary & Ryan were married in early June and were blessed with beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony at Bradley’s Head. It’s a stunning location and after the ceremony we made the most of the views with some beautiful bridal party photos. The late afternoon light was awesome and we even had time to visit the giraffes at Taronga Zoo and monkey around as well. The Taronga Centre is a fantastic reception venue with views over the city that can’t be beaten. It was a great evening and the lolly bar was the best I’ve seen! Congrats guys. • Alana & Michael – St Peter Chanel – Le Montage
Alana & Michael’s wedding was a beautiful day in late May. Everyone was getting ready in the city and Michael looked very sharp is a blue suit and Alana’s dress was stunning. From being at Katie’s wedding a year earlier I knew the Hill girls can seriously bling up their shoes and I was not disappointed! The ceremony was held at St Peter Chanel in Hunters Hill, one of my favourite churches. You could hear the bridal car arrive well before you could see it and this classic red GT was awesome. The ceremony went very well with Father Lex in charge and afterwards we quickly took some family photos before catching the very last light at Clarke’s Point Reserve. The reception was Le Montage and the room looked amazing and the service is second to none as they really go all out for you at this venue.
