Erin & Roland – Blessed Sacrament Church – Q Station Manly

Erin & Roland had a beautiful day with lovely winter weather. I started with Erin’s preparations at the Q Station and the rooms there are great for photos. Her little niece was hilarious showing off her modeilling spins and twirls! Mikala was a second photographer on the day and went to Roland’s house for his preparations – she got some great shots of the guys getting suited all up and having a good laugh.

The ceremony was at Blessed Sacrament Church on Bradley’s Head Road in Mosman and it’s a lovely venue. The priest was really nice and the ceremony had a very relaxed and personal feel to it. Roland’s sister sang two beautiful opera songs that made the hairs on my neck stand up – wow, she has an amazing voice!

After mingling outside the church and some family & group photos we did the short drive to Bradley’s Head for location photos with the bridal party. It’s an excellent location and we got some great shots! We did some more photos back at Q Station on the jetty before the reception got underway. All in all it was a great day!

Many thanks to the guys at Wedding Cars of Distinction for their first class service, highly recommended! Like to share this with a friend? Simply click here. You can also become a fan of McKay Photography on Facebook!

Lisa & Jarrod – Airlie Beach Whitsunday Islands

Lisa & Jarrod are good friends and it was a real honour to be the photographer for their wedding at Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday Islands. It was a cracker day (and so nice to escape the rain in Sydney!) and the ceremony at Coral Sea Resort was simply beautiful.

We did some photos with the bridal party at a nearby cove and also at the main beach in Airlie just as the sun was setting. It was great being somewhere new with very different settings – I loved the palm trees – and we got some fantastic photos. Congratulations guys!

Rachel & Michael – St Antonys Church – Doltone House Sylvannia Waters

Rachel & Michael had a beautiful autumn day for their wedding. I started at Rachel’s house for preparation photos with all the family before heading to St Antony’s Catholic Church in Toongabie.

The very cool wedding cars were a big stand out – the crazy suspension on these classic cars is amazing! The ceremony went well and afterwards we headed in convoy to Hyde Park for photos with the bridal party and after that some awesome night shots down by the Harbour Bridge.

It was then on to the reception at Doltone House Slyvannia Waters. It’s a great venue and right from the start the drums and the dancing made it a fun night. Congrats guys!
