February has been a wet month in Sydney and it the rain started for me at Sevan & Ara’s wedding. I did the preparations with Sevan while Sarah shot at Ara’s house and it included some very vigorous dressing by the men! They both looked fantastic – Sevan wore a Collette Dinnigan dress and Ara had a very cool suit.
The ceremony was held at the Armenian Apostolic Church in Chatswood – a lovely church and the ceremony was beautiful. The rain kept on coming down so we headed straight to Martin Place for photos under cover and also made use of Tank Alley and inside the Establishment where the reception was held. The night went off with lots of dancing and some excellent speeches – especially a very cute cameo from Ara’s nephew. Congratulations guy!
Thanks to David from Cloud 9 Rolls Rouce Wedding Cars – he was ready with an umbrella at all times! Video was by Lewis from True Light Video – I loved that he was shooting with the 50mm 1.2 at the reception in low light… cant wait to see the footage.
Katrina & Rob choose Warriewood Beach for their ceremony location and it’s a fantastic spot. It’s a nice private beach without the usual Northern Beaches crowds and has lovely views north to Mona Vale Headland. The ceremony went very well and they even managed to get a flower girl who had developed a sudden phobia of sand to be involved! It ended with them walking down the aisle in a great shower of rose petals that looks amazing in the photos!
We did some shots with the bridal party on Warriewood Beach before heading to Mona Vale Headland first and Beach second. Everyone had a great time and the view from the Headland is quite spectacular – I still think you’d be mad to handglide off it!!
The reception was at Narrabeen SLSC or Narrabeach and again the rose petals looked amazing. The celebrant was Danielle DuBois. Congrats guys!

I am shooting Tracy & Victor’s wedding in a couple of weeks time but it’s a long way from the locations they would like to take photos so we did a formal pre-wedding shoot with them. We got some great photos from around Sydney including the Opera House, Lady Macquarie’s Chair, and the Rocks area and Observatory Hill. The day was hot but had great patches of cloud that made for some wonderful photos!
Well done you guys, I look forward to being at your wedding very soon!
