Chloe & Brett – Manly Pacific – Freshwater View Reserve – Pilu
Chloe & Brett were married at a favourite outdoor ceremony location of mine – Freshwater View Reserve. It’s a great spot for a picnic, or some quiet time taking in the amazing view…… or a wedding ceremony! Preparation photos were at the Manly Pacific Hotel (the newly refurbished rooms were great) and it was so lovely to see the family super excited & emotional about the day! The ceremony at Freshwater View Reserve was beautiful, then we did location shots at Curl Curl Beach and Freshwater Beach. As you can see we had amazing weather and a lot of fun! The reception was at Pilu Restaurant, a great venue right…
Rebecca & Sean – Long Reef Golf Club – Narrabeen Rock Pools
Rebecca & Sean were married on a perfect Northern Beaches’ summer day at Long Reef Golf Club. Long Reef is a favourite venue of mine – you cant beat being so close to the ocean and there are plenty of great photo locations very close by! The day was a lot of fun, with plenty of laughs from the bridal party. We did preparation photos in Narrabeen with Rebecca, the ceremony at Long Reef, then jumped in the car for some location photos at the Narrabeen Rock Pools, and then back to Long Reef headland for a fantastic sunset! The last few shots of the day on the headland are…
Chantell & Lachlan – Allegro Function Centre Kenthurst
Chantell & Lachlan were married at the Allegro Function Centre in Kenthurst. We did the preparation photos at the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, hands down one of the best hotels for getting ready in! The ornate interiors are really beautiful and the rooms are big so there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out and get some great shots. It was then a fair drive to Allegro in Kenthurst, but well worth the trip. It’s a really lovely wedding venue with a ‘secret garden’ feel outside and the Spanish styled main room is warm and inviting at night. The area for ceremonies is set in the trees with…
Canon World Press Photo Competition
The Canon World Press Photo Competition is currently being exhibited at the State Library of NSW. I went along yesterday and can’t recommend it more highly! There are some amazing photos from all corners of the globe, covering a wide range of events such as the Beijing Olympics, war (in too many places), politics (the shots of Barrack Obama are fantastic), general portraits and wildlife. Well worth a look! Entry is free and it runs until the 31st May. Here’s a website link with more info: Canon World Press Photo.
Alyssa & Geoff – Shore Chapel – Athol Hall
Alyssa & Geoff were married at the Shore School Chapel, a beautiful place and Shore School has fantastic views out over the city and of the Harbour Bridge. We did some location photos at Bradley’s Head before the reception at nearby Athol Hall. It’s such a great wedding reception venue, right on Sydney Harbour (check out the last photo for the view!) and with a huge front lawn that is also a popular choice for a wedding ceremony. Alyssa & Geoff had a great day with plenty of smiles and laughs, congratulations guys!
Kenney & Brett – Georges Heights – Tea Room Gunners Barracks
Kenney & Brett were married in early March at one of my favourite venues – the Tea Room at the Gunner’s Barracks. The ceremony was held at the lookout area of George’s Heights, and the sunny day made Sydney Harbour a very beautiful backdrop! We did some quick photos up the top before a lunch time reception at the Barracks, then more photos at Bradley’s Head afterwards. Congratulations guys!
Kat & Steve – Christ Church – St Georges Motor Boat Club
Kat & Steve had a lovely ceremony at Christ Church in Mortdale, full of smiles, laughs and beautiful singing. We took photos at Carss Park on the waterfront of Kogarah Bay, there’s a great little cottage down there, and the reception was at St George’s Motor Boat Club. We had a lovely day, the bridal party was heaps of fun….. congratulations guys!
