Amy & Tristan – St Thomas’ North Sydney – Sebel Pier One
Amy & Tristan had an awesome wedding day – I started with Tristan and the boys in Manly and got some great shots of the preparations, especially the red MG and crossing the road in Manly. It was then a short trip to the Manly Pacific Hotel for Amy’s preparations. The ceremony was at St Thomas’ Church in North Sydney – it’s an amazing building with stunning architecture and Rev Richard James and Judy are an awesome pair to conduct the marriage ceremony. We did some family and group photos outside the church plus some shots with Amy & Tristan and the bridal party before heading to Kirribilli for more…
Shelley & Eric – Vibe Hotel – St Thomas’ North Sydney – Long Reef Golf Club
Shelley & Eric picked what I think is one of the best churches in Sydney – St Thomas’ Anglican Church in North Sydney. It is a beautiful example of late 1800’s architecture and apparently has the longest aisle in the Southern hemisphere! As you can see from the photos below it is a fantastic place to be married and the ceremony was conducted very ably by Paul Dale, a minister from a local church – the Church by the Bridge – in Kirribilli. After the ceremony and family photos we did a few shots at St Thomas’ before heading to Kirribilli. Then it was off to Long Reef for firstly…
Stephanie & Craig – Trinity Grammar Chapel – Hyde Park – Sergeants Mess
Stephanie & Craig were married at Trinity Grammar School Chapel in Summer Hill. It’s a really lovely chapel and the ceremony was beautiful with plenty of emotion and some good laughs too! After a group shot and family photos we did a few shots on the school grounds before heading into the city to Hyde Park. It’s is a great spot for location photos and we got some really cool shots before a short stop at Kirribilli and then on to the reception. Stephanie & Craig’s reception was held at a new venue on the Sydney wedding scene – the Sergeants’ Mess in Chowder Bay. The Sergeants Mess opened in…
Rianne & Yubin – Sydney Harbour Bridge – St Mary’s Cathedral – Mrs Macquarie’s Chair – Observatory Hill
Rianne & Yubin are getting married later in the year in China so in this pre-wedding shoot they wanted to feature some of most iconic spots around Sydney. We started at Bradley’s Head and it was blowing a gale! Still the Harbour looked beautiful and in the bright sun we got some great shots. We then headed to Kirribilli and after that St Mary’s Cathedral and a few photos at Hyde Park. We also visited Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Opera House towards the end of the day. We caught a beautiful sunset at Observatory Hill (in the howling wind!) before finishing with some night shots under the Harbour Bridge!
Louise & Paul – Shark Island – The Rocks – Argyle Cellars
Louise & Paul originally hail from Scotland and Wales so it’s only natural a bag piper should lead Louise’s walk down the aisle….. and then also come with them on the location photos….. and then bag pipe at Kirribilli by the Habour Bridge….. and then stand on the steps of the Opera House piping away to the surprise & delight of all the tourists in the area! It’s only natural, so I wonder if he went with them on honeymoon too?! Check out the short & shaky video clip I took with the 5D MkII at the end of the photos. The day was a lot of fun and I…
Rachel & Rob – Christ Church – Orso Wedding
Rachel and Rob were married at Christ Church in Lavendar Bay, a spectacular old church with beautiful stone and lovely trees outside. Location photos were at Kirribilli and Balmoral Beach – we just missed a heavy shower of rain in between but it made for an amazing shot with a rainbow at Balmoral! The reception was at Orso at the Spit. This is a great wedding venue and the arrival of the bridal party on the Orso boat is really unique. There was more rain and lightning that night….. and not just outside but on the dance floor as Rachel & Rob performed THE BEST first dance I have ever…
