Jane & Ashley – Athol Hall
Jane & Ashley were married at Athol Hall – a fabulous wedding venue right on the Harbour set on secluded garden grounds. I started with Jane’s preparations and her vintage style worked in perfectly at her parent’s house. Heirloom items at a wedding are such a wonderful link to family history and the head piece Jane wore was also worn by her mother and grandmother. I also loved the green shoes, very cool! The ceremony was in the amphitheatre area at Atholl Hall. There was light rain falling on and off which added to the lush greenness but thankfully it stayed away for the ceremony itself. Jane’s entrance was lovely…
Sarah & Jean-Marc – Ceretti Chapel St Patrick’s – Opera House – Guillaume’s at Bennelong
Hold on to your hat as this wedding is HUGE! Sarah & Jean-Marc live in the UAE so their wedding had a fabulous combination of things from all over the world mixed in with the very best of what Sydney has to offer. Mikala has been shooting a number of weddings with us and she attended the boys preparations. Jean-Marc is originally from England and his friends and family mainly from overseas so we got some shots at the apartment before heading down to Kirribilli for photos with the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. I went to Sarah’s place for her preparations and I was literally gob smacked when I saw…
Jessica & Adrian – All Saints Hunters Hill – The Rocks – RACA
I started Jessica & Adrian’s wedding day with the boys at the Shangri-La Hotel and there were lots of laughs as they got ready. Jessica was nearby at the Observatory Hotel – an old period hotel and a great place to get ready with heavy draped curtains and beautiful mirrors. The ceremony was at Anglican Parish All Saints Church in Hunters Hill, a lovely church set on very green & spacious grounds. Jessica’s entrance was amazing and I loved the look on Adrian’s face when she arrived at the front of the aisle. The ceremony went well and hats off to some good improvisation by the groomsmen to use their…
Katrina & David – Orso – Balmoral Beach
People often ask what happens to the photos if it rains on your wedding day…. of course, there isnt a lot you can really do but Katrina & David’s wedding is a great example that rain is not a disaster. The ceremony was held at Orso Restaurant – a great wedding venue on the Spit Road in Mosman. We went to nearby Balmoral Beach for photos and got some great shots in between light showers of rain….. and with a lot of help from groomsmen keeping us all relatively dry with umbrellas! Congratulations guys!
Astrid & Steve – Pymble Catholic Church – Pymble Golf Club
Astrid & Steve were married towards the end of October and I had a blast photographing their wedding day! I started with Astrid’s preparations before the ceremony at the beautiful Pymble Catholic Church. Everything went very well at the ceremony: Steve looked gob smacked when Astrid walked in, their Kiwi friend had everyone laughing, Steve’s choir sang beautifully, and we even had a decent shower of rain. After the church we left in the very cool Mustangs for location shots at the unique Rose Seilder House – a modernist designed home with some really interesting features and all well preserved by the Historic Houses Trust. I loved the outdoor mural,…
