Liz & Dom’s wedding was like something out of Lord of the Rings – maybe it was the church, or maybe it was Dom’s ring… or maybe it was just because these guys were just so super excited about being married it all seemed like a wonderful fairy tale! The ceremony was at St Phillips Anglican Church which is actually Australia’s oldest church site where the first Christian service was held in 1788. It’s on York Street just as you get on/off the Harbour Bridge so right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The current church was built in 1856 and has very similar architecture to St Mark’s in Darling Point and St Thomas’ in North Sydney, and all three churches are amazing. We took photos at the church before heading to Hyde Park (after a heavy shower of rain) and then Martin Place. The reception was at the Castlereagh Read more…
Larissa and Matt were married at a secluded spot on the beach at Darook Park in Cronulla. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the ceremony at Darook felt like a million miles away on a deserted island! It’s such a private area you really have the whole place to yourself. Larissa and Matt clearly had a ball and we got some great photos – the shots in the last sun of the day on Cronulla Beach are awesome! The reception was at Sea Level right on the beach front in Cronulla and this venue is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Jess Berg did a great job on Larissa’s make up and thanks to Grant for being the second shooter. Visit my facebook page here or my McKay Wedding Photography Sydney. Another very hot one in Sydney as the mercury hit 42 degrees, phew! Tyrilly & Daniel were married at St Joseph’s in Edgecliff and we did location shots in Martin Place and McKell Park. The photos look amazing and it was a real pleasure to hang out with these guys for the day! The reception was at the Stamford Hotel in Double Bay, a great spot with some lovely classic feel. Also at the wedding was Edgar from Abraham Joffe Videography. I’ve worked with Edgar a couple of times and he’s always very professional and easy going. A lot of people ask me about how the videographers work in with us, so keep an eye out for an update to this post with a highlights clip from Abraham Joffe.
Libby & Fraser were married on a hot hot hot Sydney summers day…. I seriously think we nearly melted inside the church! Phew. It all started with preparation photos at the Stamford in Double Bay – hands down one of the best places for getting ready. The ceremony was at St Vincent’s College in Potts Point and the reception at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Point Piper. Congrats guys!
