Amy & Tristan – St Thomas’ North Sydney – Sebel Pier One

Amy & Tristan had an awesome wedding day – I started with Tristan and the boys in Manly and got some great shots of the preparations, especially the red MG and crossing the road in Manly. It was then a short trip to the Manly Pacific Hotel for Amy’s preparations. The ceremony was at St Thomas’ Church in North Sydney – it’s an amazing building with stunning architecture and Rev Richard James and Judy are an awesome pair to conduct the marriage ceremony. We did some family and group photos outside the church plus some shots with Amy & Tristan and the bridal party before heading to Kirribilli for more photos and then over the Bridge to near the Sebel Pier One where the reception was held. The Sebel is a great venue with fantastic views over the harbour. We had a beautiful sunset and then a wonderful evening of Read more…

Tracy & Victor – Lady Macquarie’s Chair – St Mary’s Cathedral – Sydney Opera House

I am shooting Tracy & Victor’s wedding in a couple of weeks time but it’s a long way from the locations they would like to take photos so we did a formal pre-wedding shoot with them. We got some great photos from around Sydney including the Opera House, Lady Macquarie’s Chair, and the Rocks area and Observatory Hill. The day was hot but had great patches of cloud that made for some wonderful photos! Well done you guys, I look forward to being at your wedding very soon!

Rianne & Yubin – Sydney Harbour Bridge – St Mary’s Cathedral – Mrs Macquarie’s Chair – Observatory Hill

Rianne & Yubin are getting married later in the year in China so in this pre-wedding shoot they wanted to feature some of most iconic spots around Sydney. We started at Bradley’s Head and it was blowing a gale! Still the Harbour looked beautiful and in the bright sun we got some great shots. We then headed to Kirribilli and after that St Mary’s Cathedral and a few photos at Hyde Park. We also visited Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Opera House towards the end of the day. We caught a beautiful sunset at Observatory Hill (in the howling wind!) before finishing with some night shots under the Harbour Bridge!

Sydney Harbour Bridge & Luna Park

A quick post with two landscape photos from recent weddings – night shots of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park!

Keryn & James – St Anne’s Strathfield – Lauriston House Dundas Valley

Keryn & James were married at St Anne’s Anglican Church in Strathfield and before the ceremony we did preparation shots with Keryn at the Mecure Hotel in Parramatta. For location photos we headed into Sydney and went to Hyde Park and the Rocks area. We got some great shots! By the way – in winter months the earlier sunset usually allows for night shots before the reception. So we waited until it was dark and got some great photos with the Harbour Bridge! Something you just cant do in summer. The reception was at Lauriston House in Dundas Valley. Lauriston House is a beautiful heritage villa with lovely old-world features and a Victorian style fountain out the front. I have to say the staff were the most organised and helpful I have ever come across at a wedding – the night went so well! The resident MC was outstanding (he Read more…

Elaine & Joel – St Andrew’s Cathedral – RACA

Elaine and Joel were married on a fine winter’s day at St Andrew’s Cathedral, right next to the Town Hall in the CBD. It’s a very impressive church, simply stunning inside and out. Before hand I took some great preparation shots with Elaine, the house she was getting ready in was fantastic for photos! The ceremony at St Andrew’s was beautiful, and a song performed by a friend (who is an opera singer) was a real highlight. There was some time for afternoon tea at the cathedral and then we left for photos at Martin Place, Hyde Park and the Rocks outside the Park Hyatt right on sunset. We waited for it to get dark and got some beautiful night shots with the Harbour Bridge! The reception was at the RACA on Macquarie Street. It’s a period venue with beautiful architecture and fittings they just dont make anymore. Thanks for Read more…
