Rachael & James – St Mary’s Church North Sydney – Curzon Hall
Rachael & James were such a fun couple and they clearly had an absolute blast on their wedding day. The ceremony was at St Mary’s Church in North Sydney and we did location photos at Balmoral Beach which is a lovely location with the beach and ocean views, as well as the Rotunda and a small bridge. We also did bridal party photos around Curzon Hall – such a stunning venue and the only place I know of in Sydney where you can have your wedding reception in what looks like an old world castle. It was such a fun evening at Curzon Hall with some beautiful speeches, great food…
Suzanna & Tim – Gunners Barracks Wedding
Suzanna & Tim’s beautiful wedding at the Gunners Barracks was a special one for me as I had photographed Tim’s sisters wedding a few years ago. It’s so nice seeing the same family & friends and catching up on what’s happened in the years between. The day went so well from lot of laughs during the preparations through to a beautiful ceremony in the Gunners Barracks courtyard, great location photos around the Barracks, and a fun relaxed afternoon reception with lots of dancing and some beautiful speeches. Eva & Ren – St Thomas’ North Sydney – Gunner’s Barracks
Eva & Ren were married in March at the spectacular St Thomas’ church in North Sydney. To start the day I did preparation photos with Eva and we got some great shots of her in a really beautiful dress & veil. Eva’s entrance at St Thomas’ was stunning and the ceremony was conducted by Revd. Richard Brown. We did some photos around St Thomas’ itself before a stops at Lavendar Bay, Balmoral Beach, and Georges Heights. The reception was a favourite venue of mine, the Gunner’s Barracks in Mosman. Kim from KISS Weddings was a great help on the day and I can highly recommend her wedding planning! You can…
Katrina & David – Orso – Balmoral Beach
People often ask what happens to the photos if it rains on your wedding day…. of course, there isnt a lot you can really do but Katrina & David’s wedding is a great example that rain is not a disaster. The ceremony was held at Orso Restaurant – a great wedding venue on the Spit Road in Mosman. We went to nearby Balmoral Beach for photos and got some great shots in between light showers of rain….. and with a lot of help from groomsmen keeping us all relatively dry with umbrellas! Congratulations guys!
Simone & David – Delwood Beach – Balmoral Beach – Sergeants Mess Chowder Bay
Simone & David are a lovely couple and if you could bottle up & sell the smiles and happiness they showed on their wedding day I’m sure the world would become a better place very quickly! I started with Simone’s preparations at the Manly Pacific Hotel and the ceremony was held at Delwood Beach near Manly. It’s a great spot, nicely hidden away from crowds and it’s the perfect location for a beach wedding. The entrance by Simone and her bridesmaid down the stairs and along the sand was spectacular and the ceremony had some very touching moments…..and plenty of the smiles I mentioned earlier! We headed to Balmoral Beach…
Rachelle & Steve – Brennan Park – Balmoral Beach – Orso
Rachelle & Steve had a beautiful ceremony in Brennan Park in Wollenstonecraft. It was a lovely setting and the emotions ran high from Rachelle’s entrance to their walk back down the aisle. At the end of the aisle friends spelt out a congratulations with photos of themselves as letters – a very cool idea. Before the ceremony we did preparations shots at Rachelle’s parent’s house and just had to get a shot with one of their impressive tea sets! We did photos with the bridal party at Brennan Park before heading to Balmoral Beach. Now, I’m not usually a car guy but the 1957 Chevy’s from Ungaros Wedding Cars were…
Rachel & Rob – Christ Church – Orso Wedding
Rachel and Rob were married at Christ Church in Lavendar Bay, a spectacular old church with beautiful stone and lovely trees outside. Location photos were at Kirribilli and Balmoral Beach – we just missed a heavy shower of rain in between but it made for an amazing shot with a rainbow at Balmoral! The reception was at Orso at the Spit. This is a great wedding venue and the arrival of the bridal party on the Orso boat is really unique. There was more rain and lightning that night….. and not just outside but on the dance floor as Rachel & Rob performed THE BEST first dance I have ever…
Erica & Bruno – Mosman Uniting – Balmoral Bathers
Still catching up with some September weddings: this time it’s Erica and Bruno. They were married at the Mosman Uniting Church, we did photos at Balmoral and then the reception was at the Bather’s Pavillion. It was a very hot and windy day, but we kept in the shade and got some great shots. You have to check out Erica’s punt with a stray wind blown beach ball – just classic!
