Mary & Ryan – Bradley’s Head – Taronga Centre wedding
Mary & Ryan were married in early June and were blessed with beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony at Bradley’s Head. It’s a stunning location and after the ceremony we made the most of the views with some beautiful bridal party photos. The late afternoon light was awesome and we even had time to visit the giraffes at Taronga Zoo and monkey around as well. The Taronga Centre is a fantastic reception venue with views over the city that can’t be beaten. It was a great evening and the lolly bar was the best I’ve seen! Congrats guys. SJ & Adam – George’s Heights & Gunners Barracks wedding
SJ & Adam's beautiful wedding at the Gunners Barracks! Ceremony was held at Georges Heights.
Megan & Shaun – Bradley’s Head – Athol Hall wedding
Megan & Shaun’s wedding at Athol Hall was an epic day! A big feature of their wedding was the Bermudian theme where Megan is from – it included cool sun glasses and rum swizzle drinks. By the way any country that has shorts as their national dress must be awesome – it sure beats wearing a suit and long pants in the Australian summer. The day went so well from the preparations right through to the crazy dancing and photo booth antics. The ceremony was held at Bradley’s Head – one of the best locations in Sydney with stunning harbour views. The reception was at Athol Hall – a great…
Bradley’s Head – Stunning Sunset
Sungjin & Matt were married last week at the Taronga Centre – we did the bridal party location photos at Bradley’s Head and were treated to a stunning sunset! Here is my pick from the numerous beautiful shots full of colour as the sun set over iconic Sydney Harbour. Visit my main website here: www.mckayphotography.com.au
Kate & David – Cerretti Chapel Manly – Taronga Centre
Kate & David had an amazing wedding day! I started with the boys preps and with six groomsmen there was no shortage of laughs. Kate was getting ready nearby in Manly and it was all go with six bridesmaids, two flowers girls, and lots of fun getting ready. The ceremony was at Cerretti Chapel in Manly aka St Patrick’s College – famous for being Nicole & Keith’s wedding ceremony venue but surely Kate & David have claimed this now? With storm clouds gathering we did some location and bridal party photos on the grounds around the chapel before heading to Bradley’s Head. On the car trip there it poured down…
Sophie & Andy – Bradley’s Head – Clonnys Clontarf Beach
Sophie and Andy was my last wedding for 2012 and it was a great way to finish the year! The ceremony was held at Bradley’s Head and we had stunning weather – as soon as Sophie arrived the sun came out and phew it was hot! The lovely celebrant was Beverly Kable. We did some bridal party photos at Bradley’s Head and then headed up to George’s Heights (above the Gunners Barracks) before arriving at Clontarf Beach. By then the clouds had come back and we got some awesome photos on Clontarf Beach. The reception was a picnic style with home made lemonade and games outside Clonnys. It was great…
P & B – Ceretti Chapel St Patrick’s Manly – Long Reef Golf Club
Pascale & Brett’s wedding was an awesome wedding that definitely packed a lot into one day! I started with both Brett & Pascale’s preparation photos and got some great shots of all the fun they were having simply getting ready. The ceremony was at the beautiful Cerretti Chapel at St Patrick’s in Manly – a stunning location both inside the chapel and outside with impressive buildings and views over Manly. The ceremony went very well – I loved the look on Brett’s face as Pascale walked in and the big hug outside the chapel once they were married. After photos on site at St Patrick’s we headed to the rock…
Kelly & Joe – Bradley’s Head – Narrabeen – Long Reef Golf Club
Kelly & Joe had a beautiful wedding day with the ceremony at Bradley’s Head and the reception at Long Reef Golf Club – two great spots. It was a mid-week wedding and it was great to be able to take photos without crowds of people around or contend with traffic! The ceremony at Bradley’s Head was lovely with a perfect cover of cloud and Kelly’s entrance down the curving staircase a beautiful moment. They had allowed plenty of time for a mostly overseas crowd to mingle after the ceremony and it really is a great idea for any wedding day to have this time to chat and catch up with…
Rianne & Yubin – Sydney Harbour Bridge – St Mary’s Cathedral – Mrs Macquarie’s Chair – Observatory Hill
Rianne & Yubin are getting married later in the year in China so in this pre-wedding shoot they wanted to feature some of most iconic spots around Sydney. We started at Bradley’s Head and it was blowing a gale! Still the Harbour looked beautiful and in the bright sun we got some great shots. We then headed to Kirribilli and after that St Mary’s Cathedral and a few photos at Hyde Park. We also visited Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Opera House towards the end of the day. We caught a beautiful sunset at Observatory Hill (in the howling wind!) before finishing with some night shots under the Harbour Bridge!
Julie & Immanuel – St Mark’s Arncliffe – Doltone House Slyvannia Waters
Julie & Immanuel had a fantastic wedding day that just didnt stop! It was an early start at Julie’s parents’ house as they hosted the traditional morning celebrations. The highlights here included a special bread being made, plenty of music & dancing, and Immanuel’s best man arriving with Julie’s shoes -which didnt seem to fit until they were filled with $50 notes! We had time to cover Immanuel’s preparations nearby and then it was off to St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Arncliffe. It was a beautiful ceremony and after releasing some white doves we headed off for location shots. We got some amazing photos at at Bradley’s Head and…
Rebecca & Grant – Athol Hall – Bradley’s Head
Rebecca & Grant were married at Athol Hall, a really great venue for a wedding with a huge front lawn and amazing views over Sydney Harbour. They had both spent some time in England so the London cabs that picked Rebecca up were a brilliant choice for a wedding car! The ceremony itself was in the ampitheatre area at Athol Hall, and afterwards we did location photos at nearby Bradley’s Head. It was a beautiful afternoon and we got some great shots before heading back to Athol Hall for the reception. Congratulations guys!
Alyssa & Geoff – Shore Chapel – Athol Hall
Alyssa & Geoff were married at the Shore School Chapel, a beautiful place and Shore School has fantastic views out over the city and of the Harbour Bridge. We did some location photos at Bradley’s Head before the reception at nearby Athol Hall. It’s such a great wedding reception venue, right on Sydney Harbour (check out the last photo for the view!) and with a huge front lawn that is also a popular choice for a wedding ceremony. Alyssa & Geoff had a great day with plenty of smiles and laughs, congratulations guys!
Kenney & Brett – Georges Heights – Tea Room Gunners Barracks
Kenney & Brett were married in early March at one of my favourite venues – the Tea Room at the Gunner’s Barracks. The ceremony was held at the lookout area of George’s Heights, and the sunny day made Sydney Harbour a very beautiful backdrop! We did some quick photos up the top before a lunch time reception at the Barracks, then more photos at Bradley’s Head afterwards. Congratulations guys!
April & Scott – Taronga Zoo
Another fabulous wedding at Taronga Zoo. April and Scott had their ceremony outside in the gazebo - a great spot where guests can mingle & have drinks afterwards. We did location shots around the Zoo and at Bradley's Head before an awesome night full of dancing (the thriller moves were classic)... and it all ended with a mad scramble for the bouquet.
Rebecca & Jared – St Patricks Manly – Taronga Zoo
Rebecca and Jared were married last year in the beautiful Cerretti Chapel up at St Patrick’s College in Manly. It was a stunning day, loads of fun, and the harbour cruise from Manly Wharf to Taronga Zoo for the reception was a big highlight. Congratulations to you guys for a wonderful day!
Kim & Phil – Bradley’s Head – Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks
Here are some shots from Kim & Phil’s wedding back in September. It was a beautiful Sydney day, clear blue skies and the ceremony at Bradley’s Head was just fantastic! The reception was at the Gunner’s Barracks, a really lovely location with awesome views over the Harbour. Congratulations guys and thanks for fabulous day!
