Nguyen & Tan were married at the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney – it was a rainy day but thankfully it cleared up by the time the ceremony finished. We got some great photos including some cameo appearances by a couple of Mardi Gras groups. The reception at the Sydney Sky Tower was stunning with amazing views of the city. Anita & Calvin – The Crypt at St Mary’s Cathedral – Doltone House Pyrmont
Anita & Calvin had an awesome Sydney summer day for their wedding – the sky was brilliant blue and everything went perfectly from the preparations right through to an amazing reception. Sarah & Mark – St Stephen’s Church Newtown – Gold Room L’Aqua Cockle Bay
My first wedding of the second half of 2012 and what a fantastic way to start with Sarah & Mark! It was a wonderful day and Sydney turned on a real cracker weather wise – so nice to get some spring weather so early. I started with Sarah’s preparations at home then off to St Stephen’s Church in Newtown. It’s a beautiful church and the ceremony started with two flower girls and a page boy who did a great job. Margaret & Ben – St George Cathedral Church Redfern – Doltone House Pyrmont
I started the day at Margaret’s parents house and they had an awesome sitting room for some great shots of Margaret and her lovely Collete Dinnigan dress. The ceremony was held at St George Cathedral Church – a beautiful orthodox church in Redfern – and the colours and details inside look fantastic in the photos. Brooke & Phil – St Andrew’s Cathedral – Hyde Park – Star Room Cockle Bay
Brooke & Phil were such a great couple – full of life, fun and smiles! They were after a relaxed (and slightly crazy) style for their day and it wasnt hard to achieve with some real characters in the bridal party. I did preparations photos for both Brooke & Phil at the Medina Apartments – right across the road from the church. Lucia & Max were married at St Martha’s in Strathfield – a lovely church I was at several years ago and it’s always to visit a place again. I started the day at Lucia’s house and we got some great shots. The ceremony went very well and afterwards we drove into the city for photos at Hyde Park – a great spot and the shots look fantastic! Stephanie & Craig were married at Trinity Grammar School Chapel in Summer Hill. It’s a really lovely chapel and the ceremony was beautiful with plenty of emotion and some good laughs too! After a group shot and family photos we did a few shots on the school grounds before heading into the city to Hyde Park. Kate & Brendan – Anglican Parish Hunters Hill – Royal Automobile Club RACA
Kate & Brendan had a beautiful warm spring day for their wedding. The ceremony was at Anglican Parish of Hunter’s Hill – a really lovely old church located in the heart of Hunter’s Hill and surrounded by trees. I was very impressed by the unique setting of the church – it had a very English county kind of feel. Hayley & Ben – Mary Immaculate Waverly – Sebel Pier One
Hayley & Ben had a super windy day for their wedding but at least we missed the big dust storms that hit Sydney recently! It actually made for some great shots of Hayley’s veil flying vertically, horizontally….. and all other angles in between. The ceremony was at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Waverly, a really beautiful church and the ceremony was lovely. There was plenty of laughs throughout as the little flower girl very seriously kept asking everyone to “ssshhhh”!! Keryn & James – St Anne’s Strathfield – Lauriston House Dundas Valley
Keryn & James were married at St Anne’s Anglican Church in Strathfield and before the ceremony we did preparation shots with Keryn at the Mecure Hotel in Parramatta. For location photos we headed into Sydney and went to Hyde Park and the Rocks area. We got some great shots! By the way – in winter months the earlier sunset usually allows for night shots before the reception. So we waited until it was dark and got some great photos with the Harbour Bridge! Elaine & Joel – St Andrew’s Cathedral – RACA
Elaine and Joel were married on a fine winter’s day at St Andrew’s Cathedral, right next to the Town Hall in the CBD. It’s a very impressive church, simply stunning inside and out. Before hand I took some great preparation shots with Elaine, the house she was getting ready in was fantastic for photos! The ceremony at St Andrew’s was beautiful, and a song performed by a friend (who is an opera singer) was a real highlight. Liz & Dom – St Phillips – Castlereagh Boutique Hotel
Liz & Dom’s wedding was like something out of Lord of the Rings – maybe it was the church, or maybe it was Dom’s ring… or maybe it was just because these guys were just so super excited about being married it all seemed like a wonderful fairy tale! The ceremony was at St Phillips Anglican Church which is actually Australia’s oldest church site where the first Christian service was held in 1788. It’s on York Street just as you get on/off the Harbour Bridge so right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The current church was built in 1856 and has very similar architecture to St Mark’s in Darling…
