Suzanna & Tim’s beautiful wedding at the Gunners Barracks was a special one for me as I had photographed Tim’s sisters wedding a few years ago. It’s so nice seeing the same family & friends and catching up on what’s happened in the years between. The day went so well from lot of laughs during the preparations through to a beautiful ceremony in the Gunners Barracks courtyard, great location photos around the Barracks, and a fun relaxed afternoon reception with lots of dancing and some beautiful speeches. Carla & Tim – Gunners Barracks – Vintage Wedding
Carla & Tim had a vintage themed wedding and the Gunners Barracks was the perfect venue for this stylish step back in time! Tim looked very smart in his waistcoat and the boys in braces, and Carla had stunning make up and hair reminiscent of a 1930’s movie star with her bridesmaids in beautiful blue dresses. The day was a little cloudy and threatening some rain but thankfully we had no rain for the ceremony in the courtyard at the Gunners Barracks. Eva & Ren – St Thomas’ North Sydney – Gunner’s Barracks
Eva & Ren were married in March at the spectacular St Thomas’ church in North Sydney. To start the day I did preparation photos with Eva and we got some great shots of her in a really beautiful dress & veil. Eva’s entrance at St Thomas’ was stunning and the ceremony was conducted by Revd. Richard Brown. Alena & Pierre’s story is like something out of a romance novel: they met & fell in love in Paris while Alena was working at her father’s cafe! Allison & Nick – Tea Room Gunners Barracks Mosman
My first wedding of 2011 was in the first week of January and it was a beautiful summers day. I covered both Allison & Nick’s preparations before the afternoon ceremony at the Gunners Barracks which was held in the courtyard area. The Gunner’s Barracks is one of my favourite venues so it was great to be back there several times in October – firstly for Rachel & Michael’s wedding. I started with Rachel’s preparations and I love the shot of their dog looking very sad and left out! At least he was able to join us for a pre-wedding shoot a couple of weeks earlier. Kenney & Brett were married in early March at one of my favourite venues – the Tea Room at the Gunner’s Barracks. The ceremony was held at the lookout area of George’s Heights, and the sunny day made Sydney Harbour a very beautiful backdrop! Anouska & Darren – Tea Room Gunners Barracks
We’ve had some wild weather in Sydney so far in 2009 and Anouska and Darren had to contend with a huge storm that brought high winds and heaps of rain on their wedding day. However, the Gunners Barracks has a great courtyard area that is sheltered from the wind so everything went ahead just fine. It was a really beautiful ceremony with plenty of tears and laughter….. and the emotion continued right through the night. A wonderful day and some crazy dancing at the end!
Vicki & Ben – Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks
Vicki & Ben were married at one of my favourite venues – the Tea Room at the Gunner’s Barracks. It’s a fantastic location with options to hold a ceremony on the terrace lawn or in the courtyard….or even inside on a wet day. Kim & Phil – Bradley’s Head – Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks
