Carla & Tim – Gunners Barracks – Vintage Wedding
Carla & Tim had a vintage themed wedding and the Gunners Barracks was the perfect venue for this stylish step back in time! Tim looked very smart in his waistcoat and the boys in braces, and Carla had stunning make up and hair reminiscent of a 1930’s movie star with her bridesmaids in beautiful blue dresses. The day was a little cloudy and threatening some rain but thankfully we had no rain for the ceremony in the courtyard at the Gunners Barracks. Deb & Justin – Terrara House Nowra
Deb & Justin has a stunning wedding day at the beautiful Terrara House. It’s a fantastic venue near Nowra on the South Coast. Set perfectly in open fields this heritage house is an amazing place to hold your ceremony and wedding reception. Sophie & Andy – Bradley’s Head – Clonnys Clontarf Beach
Sophie and Andy was my last wedding for 2012 and it was a great way to finish the year! The ceremony was held at Bradley’s Head and we had stunning weather – as soon as Sophie arrived the sun came out and phew it was hot! The lovely celebrant was Beverly Kable. We did some bridal party photos at Bradley’s Head and then headed up to George’s Heights (above the Gunners Barracks) before arriving at Clontarf Beach. Emma & Corey – St Thomas’ Church North Sydney – Orso
St Thomas’ Church in North Sydney is one of my favourites so it was exciting to be shooting Emma & Corey’s wedding there in November. We had a great start to the day as I could photograph both their preparations. It’s always nice to get both preparations done as it breaks the ice with all the bridal party and makes the location shoot run just a little smoother. The weather was perfect and the ceremony at St Thomas’ was amazing. Nicoli & Chris – Centennial Vineyards Bowral
Nicoli & Chris had their winter wedding in Bowral at one of my favourite venues Centennial Vineyards. Nicoli and the girls got ready at Hatpins – a beautiful B&B in Bowral – and the make up was done by Yvette from Ethix. Centennial Vineyards always looks amazing but the main room was really stunning with flowers and styling by Michelle / Affair with George. The ceremony was inside due to wet weather and having Nicoli’s uncle as the celebrant made it fun and personal. Lauren & Adam – Cerretti Chapel Manly – QVB Tea Rooms Wedding
Lauren & Adam were married on a stormy day but managed to keep dry and enjoyed some spectacular afternoon light at the Fairy Bower Rock Pool. I started the day at Lauren’s house and got some beautiful shots before heading to Cerretti Chapel at St Patrick’s Estate in Manly. It’s a stunning chapel and one of my favourite churches to photograph weddings at. Lauren arrived and the ceremony was well conducted by Father Lex. Sarah & Mark – St Stephen’s Church Newtown – Gold Room L’Aqua Cockle Bay
My first wedding of the second half of 2012 and what a fantastic way to start with Sarah & Mark! It was a wonderful day and Sydney turned on a real cracker weather wise – so nice to get some spring weather so early. I started with Sarah’s preparations at home then off to St Stephen’s Church in Newtown. It’s a beautiful church and the ceremony started with two flower girls and a page boy who did a great job. Sarah & Ben – Sergeants Mess – Chowder Bay
Sarah & Ben had a great day with both the ceremony & reception at Sergeant’s Mess in Chowder Bay. It was a rainy afternoon but thankfully we got the ceremony & most of the location photos done before the rain came down hard! The Sergeants Mess is such a beautiful wedding reception venue – the views are amazing and food & service simply excellent. Claudia & James – Pymble Ladies College PLC – Sydney Golf Club
Claudia & James were married early in 2012 (yes I’m catching up on some blogging!) and had a beautiful day. The ceremony was at Pymble Ladies College and reception at the Sydney Golf Club. The day went so well with lots of laughs and some great photos. I loved their floral vintage theme – the flowers were stunning, bridesmaids dresses gorgeous and all the other details just beautiful. Amy & Robbie – OLQP Greystanes – Oliveto Wedding Rhodes
Amy & Robbie found me via a friend who I took the photos at their wedding so it’s always nice to get a referral. The day was simply perfect – it was a July wedding but the weather was ideal and the day went so well from the preparation photos, to the ceremony at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Greystanes, to some great locations for photos, and on to the reception at Oliveto in Rhodes. Angelique & Peter – St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church – Curzon Hall
A winter wedding always seems to be at more risk from cold & wet weather and unfortunately Angelique and Peter had some torrential downpours to contend with on the day. Rachel & Peter – Sydney Botanic Gardens – Aria Restaurant
It was a beautiful May day when Rachel & Peter got married at Aria Restaurant. The weather was warm and we did photos in the Botanic Gardens before the ceremony which started after sunset. The bridal party were awesome and we had lots of laughs and great shots simply wandering around the Botanic Gardens. The ceremony went very well and the dinner at Aria was quite amazing. Monika & Dan – Freshwater Beach – Curl Curl – Pilu
Monika & Dan’s wedding at Freshwater Beach and Pilu was a fantastic day. I love a real beach wedding and this one had it all. Being based overseas it was a great catch up with all their friends & family and in such a beautiful laid back location. The ceremony started off on a great note when Rocky the pageboy strutted down halfway down the aisle, paused with a hand nonchalantly in the pocket, then continued to much laughter at his modelling skills. Amy & Tristan had an awesome wedding day – I started with Tristan and the boys in Manly and got some great shots of the preparations, especially the red MG and crossing the road in Manly. It was then a short trip to the Manly Pacific Hotel for Amy’s preparations. Daniella & Evan – St John’s Church Wilberforce – Loxley on Bellbird Hill
My last wedding for 2011 was Daniella & Evan – they had a beautiful day starting with the ceremony at St John’s Church in Wilberforce. The page boy was classic with a “here comes the bride” sign. Daniella was super excited the whole day and we had a ball with a very fun bridal party too. We took photos at the church and then headed to the reception venue Loxley on Bellbird Hill. Wendy & Adrian – Jonahs Whale Beach
Wendy & Adrian were married at one of my favourite venues on the Northern Beaches – Jonah’s at Whale Beach. It feels like you are a million miles away from Sydney city and the views from this headland venue are stunning. Add to that an intimate atmosphere and first class food and you’re set for a great wedding day! We did some location photos after the ceremony on Whale Beach itself and then more later after the reception at Palm Beach and the Palm Beach Ferry Wharf. Lisa & Michael – Pilu – Freshwater Beach
Lisa & Michael had a beautiful spring day when they were married in November at Pilu on Freshwater Beach. The girls got ready at a house across the road so didnt have any traffic worries 🙂 Pilu is a great place to get married and it was a perfect match for Lisa & Michael’s relaxed beach styled wedding, complete with a blue combi van. Kate & Ben were married late last year at Loreto Normanhurst Chapel. It’s a beautiful chapel and Mikala who shot this wedding captured some stunning images around the Loreto Normanhurst school grounds. Caroline & Sam – Holy Name of Mary Hunters Hill – Le Montage
A beautiful wedding from last year – I’m catching up as my blogging has been very slack 🙁 Caroline & Sam were married at Holy Name of Mary Church in Hunters Hill. My wife’s parents were married here and her grandparents too so I love being at this church. We did location shots in the city at Hyde Park and the Rocks area, before heading to the reception at Le Montage in Lilyfield. It was a cracker night with break dancing and loads of fun & dancing.
